1. General provisions
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the website of the Association „Institute of Medical Psychology, Psycho-Oncology and Psychosomatics“, as well as the basic conditions for access to the services, training, events and other activities presented through it.
By using the website, the visitor accepts these Terms and Conditions. Where special conditions are specified for a particular service, training programme or event, they apply together with these Terms and Conditions.

3. Activities of the Institute
The Institute develops activities in the field of medical and clinical psychology, psychotherapy, psycho-oncology, psychosomatics, clinical social work, early childhood development, and the training and professional development of specialists.
Through the website, information may be provided on:
- psychological counselling and psychotherapy;
- clinical and psychological assessment and psychodiagnostics;
- psycho-oncological and psychosocial support;
- support for children, parents and families;
- training, certification and long-term programmes;
- seminars, webinars, conferences and other professional events;
- scientific, educational and publishing activities;
- publications, interviews, expert materials and other informational resources.
The specific scope, conditions and price of each service or training programme are indicated separately, where applicable.
4. Information on the website does not constitute individual consultation
The materials published on the website have an informational, popular-science or educational purpose, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Publications, interviews, video materials, answers to frequently asked questions and other publicly available content do not constitute individual psychological, psychotherapeutic, medical or other clinical consultation.
The information on the website should not be used for self-diagnosis, or for changing or discontinuing prescribed treatment.
Where individual assessment or professional help is needed, a consultation with an appropriately qualified specialist should be sought.
5. Psychological and psychotherapeutic services
Psychological counselling, psychotherapy, psychological assessment and other professional services are provided by the respective specialists within the scope of their professional competence.
Before commencing work, the patient or client may be informed of the nature of the service, the manner in which it is conducted, its duration, price, rules for cancelling appointments and other material conditions.
Psychotherapy does not presuppose, and cannot guarantee, a predetermined outcome. The outcome depends on numerous individual factors, the nature of the problem, the therapeutic process and the participation of the patient or client.
Psychological and psychotherapeutic services do not replace medical care where such is necessary.
6. Booking an appointment
Booking a consultation or other individual service may be made through the contact details indicated on the website or through an online booking system, where available.
Submitting an enquiry does not in itself constitute a confirmed appointment. The appointment is considered booked upon confirmation in the manner established by the Institute.
If unable to attend, the patient or client should notify the Institute or the relevant specialist in accordance with the previously communicated conditions for cancelling or rescheduling the appointment.
Where special rules apply to a particular service regarding cancellation or payment for a missed appointment, these are communicated in advance.
7. Training, seminars and webinars
The Institute organises training for specialists and other interested persons in in-person, online or blended format.
Specific conditions may be determined for each training programme, including:
conditions for participation, professional requirements, course hours, fee, method of payment, maximum number of participants, completion requirements and conditions for obtaining a certificate or attestation.
Registration for training is considered complete upon fulfilment of the conditions specified for the particular programme.
Where the training is fee-based, the price and payment conditions are announced in advance.
8. Certificates and attestations
Where a given training programme provides for the issuance of a certificate, attestation or other document, the conditions for obtaining it are indicated in the description of the respective programme.
The issuance of a document by the Institute does not in itself constitute the acquisition of professional capacity, specialty or qualification regulated by a state or other competent authority, unless this is expressly stated and the respective programme is recognised or accredited in accordance with the applicable procedure.
Information on specific accreditations and recognitions is published following their official confirmation by the relevant institution.
9. Withdrawal from participation and refund of fees
The conditions for withdrawing from a particular fee-based training programme, seminar, webinar or other event are announced at registration.
Where the applicable legislation grants the consumer a right of withdrawal, the Institute applies it in the cases and within the periods provided by law.
Where a fee-based event is cancelled by the Institute, the fees paid are refunded, unless the participant chooses another offered option, such as participation on a new date or in another programme.
For events that have commenced or been fully held with the participant's consent, the relevant rules of the applicable consumer legislation apply.
10. Changes to training programmes and events
Where objectively necessary, the Institute may change the date, time, venue, instructor or organisation of a training programme or event.
In the event of a material change, registered participants are notified promptly and provided with information on the options for participation or withdrawal.
11. Professional ethics and confidentiality
The Institute strives to maintain high standards of professional ethics, confidentiality and respect for the individual.
Information obtained within the framework of psychological, psychotherapeutic or other clinical work is treated as confidential in accordance with applicable legislation and professional standards.
Limitations on confidentiality may arise in the cases provided by law.

12. Intellectual property
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the content of the website – texts, copyrighted materials, graphic elements, training materials, presentations, video content, structure and other materials – is the property of the Institute or is used with the permission of the respective rights holders.
The content may be used for personal and non-commercial informational purposes, subject to compliance with copyright.
Without prior permission, reproduction, publication, distribution, sale, adaptation or commercial use of the Institute's protected content is not permitted, except in cases permitted by law.

Where clinical cases are used in a training context, the Institute applies rules for the protection of confidentiality and personal data.
14. Photographs and recordings from public events
At conferences, seminars and other public events, photographs or audio-visual materials may be created to document and present the activities of the Institute.
Where consent or another legal basis is required for the relevant filming or use of an image, the Institute takes the necessary steps in accordance with applicable legislation.
Psychological and psychotherapeutic sessions are not recorded or used publicly without express legal basis and prior notice to the persons involved.

The Institute does not control the content and policies of external websites and bears no responsibility for their operation, unless otherwise provided by law.
