The Institute of Medical Psychology, Psycho-Oncology and Psychosomatics develops specialised training programmes for companies, focused on mental health in the workplace, psychological resilience, team relationships and support for employees in difficult life situations.
The work environment is an important part of a person's life and can be both a source of development and satisfaction, as well as a source of significant psychological strain. Prolonged stress, conflicts, organisational changes, high levels of responsibility and the difficulty of balancing professional and personal life can affect both individual well-being and the functioning of the whole team.
The programmes may include topics such as stress management and prevention of professional burnout, psychological resilience, communication and team relationships, conflict management, mental health in the workplace, crisis situations, loss and grief, returning to work after a prolonged or serious illness, and support for employees caring for a sick relative.
A special area is the support of organisations in cases of an employee's oncological or other serious illness – how to talk to them, what kind of support is appropriate, how to prepare the team, how to facilitate their return to work, and how to combine a humane attitude with professional boundaries.
The training programmes can be developed according to the specific needs of the company and delivered in the form of lectures, practical seminars, workshops, training for managers and HR teams, or longer-term programmes for mental health and well-being in the workplace.
Our aim is to help companies build a work environment in which care for mental health is part of a good organisational culture, rather than a reaction that occurs only once a crisis has arisen.
