Mission and vision

The mission of the Institute of Medical Psychology, Psycho-Oncology and Psychosomatics is to develop mental health as an integral part of modern medicine.

We work towards building integrated models of care that place the person at the centre of the treatment process and combine scientific advances, clinical practice and psychosocial support.

Through professional expertise, research activity, training of specialists and public-benefit initiatives, we create conditions for a better quality of life for patients, their relatives and society as a whole. We encourage collaboration between the various medical and social professions, because we believe that sustainable solutions are achieved through a multidisciplinary approach and shared responsibility.

Vision

We believe in a future in which mental health is a natural and equal part of healthcare, and every patient receives comprehensive support tailored to their medical, psychological and social needs.

We strive for the Institute of Medical Psychology, Psycho-Oncology and Psychosomatics to become a leading national centre of expertise, research, training and the development of good practices in the fields of medical psychology, psycho-oncology, psychosomatics and clinical social work.

Our vision is to be a driving force for change towards a more humane, scientifically grounded and integrated healthcare system that places the person before the diagnosis.
