Standards and accreditation

The high quality of training is a core principle in the work of the Institute of Medical Psychology, Psycho-Oncology and Psychosomatics. All our educational programmes are developed in accordance with current scientific evidence, international professional standards and best practices in the fields of medical psychology, psycho-oncology, psychosomatics, psychotherapy and clinical social work.

In the development of each programme, clear criteria are applied regarding academic content, practical orientation, professional ethics and evaluation of training outcomes. Our aim is for participants to acquire knowledge and skills that can be applied in real clinical practice and that meet the current requirements of the healthcare system.

The Institute works to build sustainable partnerships with universities, professional organisations, scientific societies and accrediting institutions in Bulgaria and abroad. Depending on the specific programme, training may be organised independently or in partnership with academic and professional organisations.

When a given training programme has undergone a procedure for accreditation, certification or recognition by a competent institution or professional organisation, this is explicitly stated in its description. For each programme, up-to-date information is published regarding the accreditation status, participation requirements, requirements for successful completion and the type of document issued.

The Institute applies a policy of transparency and quality, regularly updating the content of its programmes in line with scientific developments, international recommendations and the needs of clinical practice.

Information on accreditation, certification and professional recognition of individual training programmes will be published soon.
